Terre Haute, IN (PRWEB) February 15, 2008 -- Harvest Prayer Ministries announced today that it has expanded its ministry by forming an independent publishing company focused on providing quality resources from prayer ministry veterans that will enrich individual prayer lives and equip church leaders with new ideas and practical tools for developing praying people. Several thousand prayer leaders and pastors have looked to Harvest Prayer Ministries for the past 15 years to assist them in the task of encouraging prayer.
Founded by internationally recognized experts in the Christian prayer movement, PrayerShop Publishing provides quality resources on the topic of prayer.
"The world needs prayer and we know we can help churches and individuals become more effective in their prayer lives by publishing innovative and inspirational books that address the topic," said Jonathan Graf, a Christian publishing veteran, founder of Pray! magazine and president of the Church Prayer Leaders Network, also a ministry of Harvest Prayer.
The first product released under the new publishing company is the best-selling Love to Pray written by Dr. Alvin VanderGriend and previously published directly by Harvest Prayer Ministries.
"After selling more than 50,000 copies of this wonderful devotional resource and knowing that larger publishers do not have the expertise or time to focus on this topic, Jonathan and I felt called to form PrayerShop Publishing," said David Butts, president of Harvest Prayer Ministries and chairman of the National Prayer Committee.

The Joy of Prayer is a 40 day devotional by Dr. VanderGriend that continues to enlighten and enrich the readers understanding of prayer with simple prayer practices that tend to make prayer a joy.
